It's the last two days before Dru leaves for Japan. We conduct an "exit interview", a common practice where companies conduct a survey when an employee terminates their contract with the company. In this case, Dru is terminating his relationship with San Francisco.
“...we were talking about this yesterday whether for the first two weeks if it will feel just like a business trip. But I think the thing that feels different is knowing at the end of two weeks that it’s not going to end, that it keeps going.”
